The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has intensified its ongoing campaign against illegal gambling by ordering internet service providers to block seven additional offshore websites operating without proper licences. The latest sites include Crown Gold, Maxispin Casino, Rain.gg, Didibet, LuckyBet, Malina Casino, and Spins of Glory, all found in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Since the authority began issuing blocking requests in 2019, the total number of banned websites has climbed to 1,338. Over 220 illegal operators have already withdrawn from the Australian market as a result of ACMA’s enforcement initiatives. The regulator stated that website blocking remains a key tool in protecting consumers from unlicensed gambling services that lack legal safeguards and responsible gaming frameworks.

In its second-quarter compliance report, the ACMA revealed that it had investigated hundreds of complaints, launched formal probes into 24 sites, and issued multiple warnings to companies operating without proper authorisation. The regulator also continues to strengthen compliance oversight across payment systems and self-exclusion measures introduced under the National Self-Exclusion Register (NSER).

The ACMA reiterated that even when online gambling services appear legitimate, unlicensed operators offer no player protections under Australian law. Consumers are urged to use only registered and regulated platforms, with a public register available for verification.

This latest wave of enforcement reinforces Australia’s zero-tolerance approach toward illegal gambling activities and highlights the regulator’s dedication to maintaining integrity and safety in the country’s online betting landscape.
