Gross gaming revenue reached a record CA$338M (US$247M) in May—a 40.3% YoY jump and the highest monthly total to date. Online casino led the charge with CA$259.8M, making up 77% of all iGaming revenue.
Other segments followed:
- Sports betting: CA$71.8M (+26.3% YoY)
- Online poker: CA$6.3M (+18.9% YoY)
Total wagering also set a record: CA$8.07B, the first time Ontario has surpassed the $8B threshold.
Despite a 2% drop in active player accounts, the average revenue per player jumped 10% to CA$316, reflecting increased spend per user.
