Aristocrat Appoints Serr as CTO and Guisard as Commercial Chief
Aristocrat Leisure Ltd has announced two senior leadership appointments aimed at strengthening its technology and regional growth strategy. The company confirmed Bob Serr as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and appointed Dafne Guisard to the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Both executives are expected to begin their roles in February, subject to regulatory approvals.
Strengthening Technology Leadership
Bob Serr will be based in the US and will be responsible for leading Aristocrat’s worldwide technology strategy. Serr reportedly has extensive experience in artificial intelligence and other technologies, as well as enterprise innovation.
Before joining Aristocrat, he held various top leadership positions in Microsoft’s Azure Communication Services, a part of Microsoft’s Azure platform. Moreover, he was also the Director of Software Development for Amazon’s Alexa Skills Kit, and before this, he was the CTO for Double Down Interactive. The company indicated that his technology ecosystem experience is in line with the key focus on long-term digital innovation within the Aristocrat ecosystem.
Driving EMEA Expansion
Meanwhile, Aristocrat has appointed Dafne Guisard to a newly created executive position to focus on accelerating growth within the region, and she will be located in London to run commercial and business growth for the EMEA region.
Additionally, Guisard possesses more than 20 years of experience in leading organizations in a multi-country regulated environment. Her latest role was that of the Chief Operating Officer at Entain Plc. Notably, Guisard also worked in senior executive positions at The Kraft Heinz Company, as well as nearly a decade in leadership positions at Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Aristocrat asserts that she plays an integral role in implementing its growth strategy in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Executive Oversight
The two, namely Serr and Guisard, will report directly to Aristocrat Groups Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Trevor Croker. They will also join the companys executive committee.
Croker said he was glad to see these appointments, as both individuals had a track record in scaling businesses and had been involved in transformation programs. He also pointed out that the commercial prowess of Guisard was going to propel Aristocrat’s European ambitions and Serr’s capabilities in enterprise innovation.
Looking Ahead
This demonstrates Aristocrat’s approach of developing its executive leadership and growing its operations in key markets. By developing both its technology infrastructure and its regional growing structure, the company can continue to grow and succeed in the competitive worldwide gaming environment.
