FanDuel has launched a new responsible gaming initiative titled Play with a Plan, expanding its approach to player protection by embedding planning and spend-awareness tools directly into the betting experience.

The programme is being rolled out across FanDuel’s sportsbook, casino, and racing products and is designed to encourage customers to take a more deliberate and informed approach to betting.

Shifting Responsible Gaming Into Everyday Play

Rather than positioning responsible gaming as a reactive or standalone safeguard, Play with a Plan promotes proactive self-management as a normal part of betting behaviour. The initiative encourages players to plan ahead, monitor activity, and regularly review their betting habits.

FanDuel said the programme is focused on helping customers make informed decisions through clearer visibility of their betting activity.

Integrated Tools Across Sportsbook, Casino and Racing

At the centre of the initiative is a suite of responsible gaming tools that are integrated directly into FanDuel’s products. These include spending dashboards that allow users to track deposits and betting activity over defined time periods, as well as deposit limits and automated alerts designed to support spend awareness.

The tools are presented as part of the core product experience rather than optional add-ons, reinforcing FanDuel’s focus on embedding responsible gaming into everyday play.

Growing Engagement With Player Protection Features

According to FanDuel, engagement with its responsible gaming tools increased by 41% year-on-year in 2025, indicating growing customer use of self-management features. The Play with a Plan campaign aims to build on this momentum by normalising planning and reflection for all users, regardless of betting frequency.

Part of a Wider Responsible Gaming Strategy

The initiative aligns with parent company Flutter Entertainment’s Positive Impact Plan, which outlines long-term commitments to player protection and sustainable play. FanDuel is supporting the rollout with a multi-channel awareness campaign across television, digital, and social platforms.

With Play with a Plan, FanDuel continues to position responsible gaming as an integrated element of product design, reflecting broader industry expectations around proactive consumer protection in regulated markets.
