GiG Software Plc Partners with Skillcade to Launch Skill Gaming on CoreX Platform

GiG Software Partners with Skillcade for Skill Gaming | iGaming News Today

Skillcade has partnered with GiG Software Plc to integrate its portfolio of real-time competitive games into the CoreX platform, giving operators access to a new category of skill gaming designed to complement traditional casino and sportsbook offerings.

The integration enables operators using GiG’s platform to deploy Skillcade’s catalogue of arcade-style titles alongside existing gaming verticals through a single platform environment. The games emphasise short-session gameplay and head-to-head competition, introducing interactive formats that differ from conventional slot mechanics.

Introducing Skill Gaming as a New Engagement Layer

The addition of Skillcade’s content brings skill gaming into GiG’s CoreX platform as an alternative engagement layer. Rather than replacing traditional casino games, the format broadens the content mix by incorporating mechanics more commonly associated with video game environments.

James Burns, Founder of Skillcade, said: “Partnering with GiG is an important milestone for Skillcade. GiG’s focus on innovation and platform flexibility makes it an ideal partner as we bring real-time skill gaming, and a growing pipeline of arcade-inspired titles, to a broader set of operators.”

James Coxon, Chief Operating Officer at GiG, said: “This strategic partnership supports GiG’s continued focus on innovation and delivering the most varied and high-quality content options to our customers. Skillcade adds a compelling real-time skill gaming format, alongside a strong roadmap of new titles, and the integration complements our existing offerings, as we continue to double down on adding new, innovative engagement opportunities for operators globally.”

Continuous Pipeline of New Skill-Based Titles

Under the agreement, Skillcade will supply a continuous pipeline of new titles to the CoreX platform. Regular releases allow operators to refresh their skill content offering and maintain differentiation within increasingly competitive gaming portfolios.

For GiG, the partnership reflects a broader platform strategy focused on diversifying beyond traditional slot aggregation by introducing alternative gaming formats that can engage new player segments, aligning with the company’s wider vision for scalable iGaming infrastructure under CEO Richard Carter, who has emphasised the importance of technology-driven expansion across regulated markets in a recent industry analysis on GiG’s approach to iGaming scalability.

Seamless Deployment for Operators

Because Skillcade’s games are embedded directly within the CoreX platform, operators can introduce the titles through their existing platform integrations without implementing additional infrastructure.

This streamlined deployment enables operators to test and expand skill gaming alongside their current sportsbook and casino products while minimising operational complexity.

Skillcade’s games are now available to operators connected to GiG’s CoreX solution, with additional titles expected to roll out as the partnership evolves.

Market Reach and Operator Opportunities

The integration also expands Skillcade’s market reach by providing access to operators connected to GiG’s CoreX platform across multiple regulated markets.

By leveraging GiG’s distribution network, Skillcade can extend the availability of its skill titles to a wider operator base while giving partners an opportunity to introduce new forms of interactive gaming to their audiences. The expansion aligns with GiG’s recent growth momentum, including 18% revenue growth and positive EBITDA reported in its FY2025 financial results.
