Kaizen Gaming Acquires GameplAI to Boost AI-Driven Sports Trading for Betano Platform

Kaizen Gaming Acquires GameplAI to Enhance Betano AI SportsTrading | iGaming News Today

Kaizen Gaming, one of the fastest-growing GameTech operators globally under the leadership of George Daskalakis, has acquired AI sports trading specialist GameplAI. The move further strengthens its in-house technology stack as operators increasingly invest in proprietary automation and data-driven pricing tools across the iGaming industry and online casino industry.

The acquisition follows Kaizen Gaming’s broader strategy of technology-led expansion, a growth trajectory explored in detail in Kaizen Gaming Redefines iGaming Growth Under Daskalakis.

The Athens-based operator said GameplAI’s technology will be integrated into its Betano sportsbook platform, with the aim of improving trading automation, player market generation and performance analytics. The integration reflects the growing convergence between sports betting platforms and the wider iGaming industry.

The deal reflects a broader industry shift toward AI-assisted sportsbook operations, where machine-learning models increasingly support odds pricing, risk management and the creation of high-volume micro-markets such as player props. This trend is becoming increasingly visible across the sports betting industry and online casino industry, where automation and real-time analytics are transforming operational efficiency.

AI Moves Deeper Into Sportsbook Trading

For large operators, AI tools are becoming central to managing the scale and complexity of modern sports betting products. Automated models analyse large datasets in real time, helping trading teams generate pricing models and monitor risk exposure across thousands of betting markets.

As the sports betting industry expands globally, operators are investing heavily in AI-driven infrastructure to improve trading accuracy and customer engagement.

By acquiring GameplAI rather than licensing the technology, Kaizen Gaming gains direct control over AI capabilities within its trading infrastructure. This enables deeper integration into trading workflows while potentially reducing reliance on third-party analytics vendors within the iGaming industry.

The technology is expected to support several areas of sportsbook operations, including:

  • player and performance-based betting markets
  • predictive analytics for trading desks
  • automated pricing and risk monitoring tools

These capabilities are increasingly important as sportsbooks expand the number of in-play and player-driven markets offered to bettors.

Betano Platform to Integrate GameplAI Technology

Kaizen Gaming plans to embed GameplAI’s analytics and trading tools across the Betano platform as part of a broader investment strategy in data science and automation. The operator’s flagship sportsbook brand has played a key role in its international expansion strategy, as explored in Betano Leads Europe’s Betting Industry into the Future.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen Kaizen Gaming’s internal trading operations and support the continued development of its sportsbook product across international markets.

Chief Product Officer Christos Tzalavras said the acquisition supports the company’s strategy of investing in proprietary sportsbook technology and specialist trading talent.

GameplAI B2B Business to Continue

Despite the acquisition, GameplAI will continue operating its B2B analytics and trading services, supporting both existing and future external partners.

Maintaining the supplier arm suggests Kaizen Gaming intends to retain GameplAI’s position within the broader sportsbook technology ecosystem while integrating its core capabilities internally.

GameplAI’s founders and team will remain with the business following the transaction.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Advisory support for the transaction included Tekkorp Capital as financial advisor and Wiggin LLP as legal counsel to Kaizen Gaming.
