According to the latest figures from iGaming Ontario, players in the province wagered a record CA$8.55 billion on iGaming platforms in September 2025, surpassing August’s total by 5% and marking a 30.7% increase compared to September 2024. This is the second consecutive month Ontario has set a new high, underscoring its position as a powerhouse in regulated online gaming.
Casino gaming accounted for the majority of activity, drawing CA$7.34 billion in wagers, followed by sports betting at CA$1.06 billion and peer-to-peer poker at CA$144 million. Despite a modest 1.8% dip in non-adjusted gross revenue from the previous month, September’s CA$329 million total marked the sixth straight month Ontario surpassed the CA$300 million threshold.
The province also achieved a new benchmark with 1.2 million active player accounts, the highest in its history. However, the average revenue per account slipped to CA$282, reflecting a broader base of participation even as total wagering volume continues to grow.
Major brands including Bet365, FanDuel, BetMGM, and BetRivers continue to drive engagement and innovation within the province’s regulated framework. The steady rise in both player activity and wagering totals illustrates Ontario’s sustained momentum and reinforces its reputation as one of the most dynamic iGaming markets in North America.
