IGT Expands Andy Hendrickson’s Role to Chief Product and Technology Officer
International Game Technology has expanded the responsibilities of Andy Hendrickson, appointing him chief product and technology officer, subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals. The move formalises a broader leadership role as the company continues to integrate its operations following the merger of IGT and Everi.
Hendrickson has served as chief technology officer since joining the combined business in 2025. In his new role, he will oversee both product strategy and technology execution, bringing IGT’s game development, platform innovation, and operational processes under a single executive structure.
The appointment reflects IGT’s focus on tighter coordination between its global game studios and technology teams as it looks to streamline development and accelerate delivery across its product portfolio.
Aligning product and technology leadership
Group chief executive Hector Fernandez said the expanded role is intended to strengthen alignment between IGT’s products, processes, and talent base. He noted that consolidating leadership across product and technology supports more consistent execution and value creation across regulated markets.
For Hendrickson, the role builds on his existing responsibilities and long-standing experience across gaming and interactive entertainment. Prior to joining IGT, he served as chief technology officer at Aristocrat Leisure, where he oversaw technology strategy for one of the industry’s largest content portfolios. Earlier in his career, he held senior technology roles at Activision Publishing, working on major console game franchises.
In prepared remarks, Hendrickson said the company is well positioned to deliver industry-leading products through disciplined content creation, strong studio capabilities, and integrated product management.
Supporting growth following the IGT – Everi merger
The leadership update comes as IGT continues to define its operating structure following the merger, which brought together land-based gaming, digital content, and lottery technology under a single organisation. Bringing product and technology leadership closer together is seen as a way to reduce internal friction and improve speed to market.
As competition intensifies across both land-based and digital gaming segments, suppliers are increasingly prioritising execution efficiency alongside innovation. IGT’s decision to expand Hendrickson’s role signals a strategic emphasis on operational coherence as the company pursues growth and innovation across its global footprint.
The appointment is subject to standard regulatory approvals and is expected to take effect following completion of those processes.
