BetMakers Technology Group has entered a five-year exclusive agreement with Betfair Australia to supply the entire wagering technology stack for CrownBet, a new fixed-odds brand scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026. The deal positions BetMakers as Betfair’s sole technology provider, responsible for delivering a fully customised version of its Apollo platform. Apollo integrates fixed-odds and tote betting, customer account management, trading tools, risk services, compliance controls, and a flexible frontend designed for racing-led sportsbooks. BetMakers will also supply a content engine and operational technologies that will form the core infrastructure of CrownBet from launch.

Betfair Australia, owned by Crown Resorts, currently operates the world’s largest peer-to-peer wagering exchange. The introduction of CrownBet marks a strategic expansion, enabling the operator to offer a traditional fixed-odds product alongside its exchange model. Platform development, system integration and regulatory compliance work are already underway as Betfair prepares for an early-2026 debut.

Betfair CEO Amy Zavros said the company required a partner capable of delivering a high-performance product on day one, citing BetMakers’ technology capability, security standards and operational flexibility as key decision factors. The agreement represents a valuable commercial opportunity for BetMakers as Australia’s wagering sector continues to grow and diversify.

Industry analysts expect CrownBet to attract strong attention due to Betfair’s established market presence and Crown Resorts’ national brand strength. The launch is anticipated to position CrownBet as a competitive force among Australia’s fixed-odds operators, allowing Betfair to broaden its appeal and capture customers seeking more traditional sportsbook options. The partnership underscores a wider trend of operators strengthening their technology foundations to support long-term growth in the evolving iGaming landscape.
