British gambling group Entain has confirmed a significant change at the top of its finance leadership, with Group Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO Rob Wood set to leave the company in 2026. Wood, who has served the organisation for 13 years, will step down as CFO on 6 March 2026 and depart entirely in June following a transition period. The company praised his central role in guiding Entain through global expansion, operational modernisation and the rise of its U.S. joint venture, BetMGM.

As part of a planned succession process, Entain has appointed Michael Snape as the incoming Group CFO. Snape, currently serving as CFO of International Distribution Services, will join the company as CFO-designate in February 2026 before assuming full responsibilities the following month. With more than two decades of international finance and operational experience across major consumer and retail businesses, Snape is expected to strengthen Entain’s focus on regulated markets, technology investment and disciplined growth.

Group CEO Stella David credited Wood with helping reshape the company’s strategic direction and expanding its footprint across major regulated jurisdictions. She highlighted his expertise and long-term commitment to the organisation’s transformation efforts. Wood described his time at Entain as a “privilege” and expressed confidence in the company’s long-term strategy alongside BetMGM.

Snape said he is excited to join Entain at a time when the group continues to prioritise innovation, regulatory compliance and operational improvements. Leadership noted that his background aligns with Entain’s ambitions for stability and sustainable value creation.

Alongside the leadership announcement, Entain confirmed that year-to-date trading remains in line with market expectations. The company plans to publish its full-year 2025 financial results on 5 March 2026.
