Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin launch live casino studio Avanti Studios
Industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin have launched a new live casino supplier, Avanti Studios, positioning the business around motion capture technology and fully digital live dealer experiences.
According to the company, Avanti Studios has been formed to address several long-standing challenges within the live casino sector, including high operational costs, limited localisation, scalability constraints, and slow product innovation. The studio says its model is designed to deliver live casino content that is easier for operators to deploy across multiple markets while maintaining consistency and performance.
The launch comes just over a year after Hagman stepped down as chief executive of LeoVegas, the operator he co-founded before its acquisition by MGM Resorts. Delin, meanwhile, previously led Authentic Gaming, the live dealer business acquired by Genting in 2019, and exited the company in 2024.
Motion capture at the centre of the model
Avanti Studios’ live casino offering is built around an in-house motion capture setup that records the movements and dealing behaviour of experienced land-based croupiers. These recordings are then translated into digital live dealers using a combination of 3D animation and AI-assisted rendering.
The company says this approach allows it to create lifelike dealer experiences without relying on traditional studio-based live dealer operations. Games and dealer environments can be adapted to match an operator’s branding, language, table limits, and presentation style.
Avanti also claims its technology enables lower minimum stakes and more flexible localisation, two areas that have traditionally been limited by the cost structures of conventional live casino studios.
Cloud-based delivery and rollout plans
The live content is streamed using a proprietary cloud-based delivery system built on Unreal Engine, which Avanti says has been optimised for mobile devices. The platform is designed to deliver high-definition gameplay with minimal latency across different jurisdictions.
Avanti Studios said it is currently in advanced discussions with several operators and plans to begin its official rollout in the first quarter of 2026. Initial titles will include Live Baccarat, Live Blackjack, Dragon Tiger, and a selection of localised card games.
The company’s first regulated market launch is expected to take place in Spain, with additional jurisdictions to follow later in the year.
As live casino suppliers continue to look for ways to scale more efficiently while meeting localisation and cost pressures, Avanti Studios’ digital-first approach signals a growing shift toward alternative live dealer models within the regulated iGaming market.
