Exclusive: How CEO Andy Huang Is Positioning TaDa Gaming for the Next Era of iGaming

Exclusive: Andy Huang on TaDa Gaming's iGaming Future | iGaming News Today

The global iGaming industry continues to evolve at an extraordinary pace, driven by technological innovation, changing player expectations, and the rapid expansion of regulated markets. As competition intensifies, sustainable growth increasingly depends on product excellence, strategic partnerships, localization, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape.

In this exclusive interview with iGaming News Today, TaDa Gaming CEO Andy Huang reflects on more than two decades in the gaming industry, sharing his views on leadership, innovation, AI, localization, regulated markets, and the opportunities shaping the future of global iGaming.

Q.1 You’ve spent more than two decades in the gaming industry – how has your journey shaped your approach as CEO of TaDa Gaming today?

Andy:

Discipline, consistency and having the right team are the foundations for success.

Experience taught me that a product-led strategy is better for sustained growth than M&A.

Global expansion is safer in regulated markets.

Strong mobile first approach and innovation in ways to win.

“As CEO of TaDa Gaming today, my focus is on efficient execution through solid teamwork, delivering strong partnerships that work equally for both parties and creating the games, content and tools that give true long-term/lifetime entertainment across markets.”

Q.2 Having worked in gaming for many years, what are the biggest changes you’ve seen in the industry?

Andy:

Technology – the complete acceptance of it and trust in it globally; the impact it has had on speed to market for product and data gathering on player behaviour. Mobile internet and smartphones changed the industry.

Demographic changes in who’s playing casino games and where and impact on localisation, e.g. new/younger players effect on content design, bonuses features/mechanics following their experience and expectations through video gaming.

Evolving global regulations – how smart companies turn this into a competitive advantage.

Q.3 TaDa Gaming serves players across different markets. How do you create games that connect with different audiences and player preferences?

Andy:

Data, research for expert localisation – Glocalisation strategy for global core mechanics, local content.

Feedback from players.

Collaborate with leading local operators for insight on regional data and trends and global operators for international exposure and trends; meet industry regulators and key stakeholders through trade shows and international conferences to learn and share data that shapes the industry going forward.

Roster of licences from UKGC, MGA, AGCO means we have clear frameworks and we are 80% + product led at TaDa.

TaDa games now available in nearly 4,000 casinos worldwide. Seeing industry success with awards for games, gamification tools and people (30 under 30 and 40 under 40 – Bryam Jacquet, Head of Business Development + Hector Langa, Business Development Manager; plus Sean Liu, Director of Product Development nominated for Young Changemaker of the Year award).

Q.4 In such a competitive market, what do you think makes a game successful and keeps players coming back?

Andy:

Recipe for successful games includes quality visuals/animations, good balance maths and gameplay; immersive themes, progressive rounds and expert localisation.

Previously, high RTP and bonuses were key but recently the mood is more towards entertainment value and community.

Games that have high impact shareable moments and can deliver/enable social media UGC have better retention.

Progression rounds, quick feedback as with our fish-shooting titles, easy onboarding.

Viral marketing, especially with influencers and streamers is impacting a game’s successful uptake so our new strategy for celebrity co-branding (Fortune Yuri 500), is seeing results so new iterations in production (Lucky Cerol 500 and Gems of Buxexa).

Q.5 AI is becoming a big topic across industries. How do you see AI changing game development and player experience in the coming years?

Andy:

Speed to market – AI is already speeding up basic prelim artwork and pre-release testing for example. Other changes could include hyper personalisation for players, impacting real-time optimisation.

In careful conjunction with privacy/data regulations, AI could also improve KYC, minimise harmful player behaviour, improve recommendation engines/algorithms and deliver more community engagement for social experiences.

Downside could be a glut of low-quality, mass-produced copycat games flooding the market.

Q.6 With global uncertainty and tensions in different regions and markets, do you think this could affect the gaming industry in terms of business growth, investment, or player behavior?

Andy:

Undoubtedly all three will be affected. Economic pressure will be the main cause of change rather than politics and may just speed up what is already happening: so we should expect potential consolidation and tighter regulations alongside slower investment and changes in player spending behaviour.

Prediction markets and crypto trading have raised concerns already and these might well see significantly more restrictions from a government level, while player spend levels will be more volatile. And clearly digital disruption is a very real threat for everyone.

Q.7 Looking ahead to 2026 (2027?), what is your vision for TaDa Gaming and what major changes do you expect to see in the gaming industry?

Andy:

We are positioning ourselves as a growth partner, rather than just a supplier. We are still a challenger brand and are setting ourselves as a  valuable partner for  global operators through engagement mechanics, expert localisation, and flexible content ecosystems.

Emerging regulated regions could become some of the industry’s biggest growth drivers, so our flexibility, cultural adaptation, and market know-how give us a unique advantage.

Fish-shooting (TaDa is the No. 1 provider for fish-shooting games) is another niche opportunity for us that we are steadily building.

Changes will come through AI progression, both positive and negative. Higher value from streamers and influencers will play an instrumental role in driving engagement and retention. As a result, brand identity, brand awareness, and trust will become even more important for differentiation, especially if AI floods the market with low-quality copycat games.

Q.8 What is one lesson or principle that has helped you the most throughout your leadership journey?

Andy:

A long time ago, I was recommended Sun Tzu’s The Art of War. The quotation:

“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.”

has always resonated with me.

Strategy first, then action has remained my guiding principle throughout my leadership journey.
