Sportradar and Euroleague Basketball Announce Multi-Year Extension of Data and AV Betting Rights Deal
On 26 August 2026, Sportradar Group AG (NASDAQ: SRAD) and Euroleague Basketball announced a multi-year extension of their data and audiovisual betting rights agreement. The Sportradar Euroleague Basketball deal begins with the 2026-27 season and extends the company’s exclusive global distribution of Euroleague official data and AV betting rights through 2031. It covers more than 650 games a year across EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup competitions.
The rights are not new to Sportradar. They originally came to the company through its 2025 acquisition of IMG ARENA. This extension protects and lengthens an asset it already moved to secure.
Why the Sportradar Euroleague Basketball deal matters now
Official data has quietly become one of the most valuable things a sports technology company can hold. It is the raw material for fast, reliable in-play betting, and access to it is what separates a deep product from a thin one.
By locking Euroleague exclusivity through 2031, Sportradar keeps that access to itself for five more years. In a sport this heavily bet on, that is a meaningful position. It is not just a renewal. It is a supplier making sure a rival cannot walk in and take the feed.
The renewal also lands while Sportradar is growing. The company reported €378 million in Q2 2026 revenue, so this is a supplier extending its grip on premium rights from a strong financial base, not a defensive move.
What the Sportradar Euroleague betting rights actually include
The agreement is broad. Exclusive global distribution of official data and AV betting rights, more than 650 games a year, two competitions in EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup, and a runway that stretches to 2031.
Sportradar says the extension supports deeper integration of official data into betting and fan engagement products, including expanded micro betting and player markets. That is the part operators will read closely. Micro betting and player props depend on official, low-latency data, and this deal decides who can supply it at the Euroleague level.
There is also an integrity layer. Sportradar will continue to provide Euroleague Basketball with bet monitoring through its Universal Fraud Detection System AI, alongside education workshops for players and administrators aimed at preventing match-fixing.
What the deal means for sportsbook operators
For a platform manager, this narrows the field. If you want the richest EuroLeague and EuroCup betting product, the official-data door now runs through Sportradar until 2031.
That has practical consequences. It affects which supplier conversations matter, how micro betting roadmaps get built for European basketball, and where operators place their bets on in-play depth. The company also lists a wide basketball portfolio around this deal, naming partners including the NBA, WNBA, NBL Australia, NBB Brazil, CBA China, LNB France, GBL Greece, LBA Italy and ACB Spain. Euroleague sits inside a much larger official-data footprint.
This is the same playbook Sportradar has been running across sport. Earlier this year it renewed its exclusive Wimbledon data and AV betting rights deal through a similar structure, showing how the company locks in official rights property by property.
Moritz Gloeckler, EVP Rights and Strategic Projects at Sportradar, said: “The partnership with Euroleague Basketball secures our position as leading official data rights holder across all key properties in one of the most heavily bet-on global sports. Winning this tender extends our portfolio of official basketball data and opens up new commercialization opportunities for Euroleague Basketball starting with a set of new, innovative basketball solutions we’re building to enhance the fan experience and plan to roll out over the course of the partnership.”
The read on that quote is straightforward. Sportradar is not describing a single deal. It is describing a portfolio strategy, with Euroleague as one more property it does not want anyone else holding.
What the Sportradar Euroleague deal does not tell us
The release does not disclose financial terms. There is no deal value, no revenue split, and no cost figure. So while the strategic logic is clear, the commercial scale of the agreement is not something that can be judged from the announcement alone.
It is also, by nature, a single-source company announcement. The framing is Sportradar’s and Euroleague’s own. That does not make it wrong, but it does mean the more competitive read, what rivals lost by not winning this tender, sits outside what either party has said publicly.
How the Sportradar Euroleague partnership could shape basketball betting
Euroleague Basketball CEO Chus Bueno said: “We are pleased to extend our partnership with Sportradar, a trusted partner that shares our commitment to innovation and delivering premium experiences for basketball fans around the world. This renewed long-term agreement reflects the strength of the EuroLeague and EuroCup as premium platforms for leading global organizations to grow their business. More than a transactional partnership, it represents a shared strategic commitment to innovation, technology, and the long-term development of our respective properties.”
Both sides are pointing forward. Bueno frames the renewal as a long-term strategic commitment rather than a transaction. Gloeckler points to new basketball solutions Sportradar plans to roll out across the life of the deal.
So the thing to watch is product. Exclusivity through 2031 is the headline, but the payoff will show up in what Sportradar actually builds on top of the Euroleague feed, and how quickly operators can put those micro betting and player markets in front of fans.
