NOVOMATIC Again Named a Business Superbrand Austria With the Seal for the Years 2026/2027
NOVOMATIC has once again been named a Business Superbrand Austria, this time for the years 2026/2027. The seal was presented at the Group’s headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen on 1 September 2026, awarded by what the company describes as the world’s largest independent organisation for brand evaluation. It’s a repeat recognition, and for a business that supplies operators across the globe, the repetition is the part worth reading.
Why a supplier brand award matters in gaming
Brand awards on the consumer side make obvious sense. On the supplier side, they’re easy to overlook. But NOVOMATIC doesn’t sell mainly to players. It sells to operators, casinos and partners who commit to hardware, platforms and services over years, not weeks.
That changes what an award like this means. The evaluation was carried out by an autonomous panel that assesses significant consumer and business brands in approximately 90 countries, using internationally standardised criteria. Independent. Standardised. Applied at scale. Those three qualities are what lift the seal above a marketing line.
Inside NOVOMATIC’s Superbrand Austria recognition
The recognition names NOVOMATIC once again as one of Austria‘s most powerful brands, and the company frames it as confirmation of the international appeal of the Lower Austrian technology group.
Stefan Krenn, Member of the Executive Board of NOVOMATIC AG, put the credit squarely on the workforce. “This latest recognition as a Business Superbrand Austria is a special acknowledgment of our brand’s international standing and consistent innovative strength. Our more than 26,000 employees make a significant contribution to this; with their expertise and dedication, they play a decisive role in shaping NOVOMATIC’s success,” he said during the ceremony at the Group’s headquarters.
The read on that quote is straightforward. Krenn is tying an external brand seal back to internal capability, which is where a supplier’s reputation is actually built.
András Wiszkidenszky, Regional Director of Superbrands Austria, framed it from the assessor’s side. “NOVOMATIC has established itself over many years as a strong and internationally successful brand. Continuity, trust, and the ability to successfully evolve in a dynamic market environment are what particularly characterize the company. This renewed recognition underscores this successful development, and I extend my sincerest congratulations to the entire NOVOMATIC team,” he said.
What the NOVOMATIC recognition means for its partners
Here’s the part operators care about. When you sign a multi-year supply agreement in gaming, you’re not just buying a product. You’re relying on the supplier still being a stable, credible partner at the end of the contract.
A repeat brand seal is one external signal that a company’s standing has held. NOVOMATIC’s own profile shows the scale behind it: a producer and operator with locations in approximately 50 countries, exporting gaming equipment, system solutions, lottery system solutions and services to more than 130 countries, and operating gaming devices and video lottery terminals in approximately 2,000 of its own electronic and regular casinos, as well as through leasing models.
For a content director or platform manager, that is context rather than an action point. It feeds the longer conversation about which suppliers to build around.
What the Superbrand Austria award does and does not show
A brand award is not a performance figure. The release does not tie it to product, pricing or market-specific results, and it should not be read as a measure of those things. It is recognition of brand standing, assessed independently against standardised criteria.
Read plainly, this is a reputation signal. Operators making procurement decisions will still weigh product fit, support and commercial terms on their own merits. The seal adds to the picture; it does not replace the rest of it.
