BetMGM has announced a new partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins, securing its position as the official betting partner of all three major professional sports teams in the city. This strategic collaboration adds the NHL franchise to the operator’s roster of existing agreements with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL and the Pittsburgh Pirates in MLB. With this move, BetMGM becomes one of the few operators in the US to hold a complete sponsorship lineup within a single major sports market.
As part of the new partnership, BetMGM will receive extensive brand visibility inside PPG Paints Arena, including prominent signage and integrated placements across fan-facing digital channels. The agreement also includes co-branded social media initiatives and a variety of exclusive promotions designed to enhance fan engagement both inside and outside the arena. Additionally, BetMGM plans to roll out Penguins-themed iGaming content, expanding the relationship into the digital gaming space and offering new experiences to fans who interact with the brand online.
This expansion follows a strong financial performance for BetMGM, which reported a 23% increase in net revenue for Q3, reaching US$667m. The operator also recorded notable year-over-year growth across its core verticals, with iGaming revenue rising 21% and online sports betting revenue growing 36%. The Pittsburgh sponsorship hat-trick underscores BetMGM’s commitment to strengthening its market presence through strategic partnerships that align with both player interests and the evolving competitive landscape of US sports betting.
By securing a unified presence across the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates, BetMGM continues to position itself as a leading force in integrated sports marketing and fan engagement, while reinforcing its long-term vision for growth within the North American iGaming sector.
