Liberia has taken a major step in establishing itself as a global hub for regulated online gaming. The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has officially opened applications for its new international online gaming licence, offering operators a complete turnkey package designed for global use.

The licence includes a locally incorporated Liberian company, corporate bank accounts with EUR and USD SWIFT transfers, a dedicated Anti-Money Laundering (AML) officer funded for the first year, and a registered business address in Monrovia. Legal confirmation from Dolo & Associates Law Firm verifies that the licence operates fully within the National Lottery Authority Act and meets international standards for oversight, player protection, and anti-money laundering measures.

Operators holding the licence can offer casino, sports betting, and lottery services worldwide, where remote gaming is not restricted. The NLA aims to complete the licensing process within approximately 30 business days after receiving all required documents, with the first licences set for formal issuance in December 2025.

Several strategic partnerships underpin the initiative. International banks, payment processors, and law firms have committed support, providing secure financial channels, operational guidance, and legal verification for country-specific markets. Liberia’s government has emphasized that this framework is unique compared to existing offshore licences and aims to position the country as a leader in regulated online gaming.

The launch of this licence represents a milestone for Liberia’s gaming industry, signaling its ambition to attract international operators while ensuring compliance with global standards. By providing a streamlined, fully compliant framework with robust operational support, Liberia seeks to create a safe, regulated environment for online gambling and establish itself as a trusted jurisdiction for international gaming businesses.
