Sportradar Appoints Edo Haitin as EVP to Lead iGaming Growth

Sportradar has strengthened its executive leadership with the appointment of Edo Haitin as Executive Vice President of iGaming, marking a decisive step in the company’s long-term strategy to expand its online casino business.

The appointment positions Haitin at the centre of Sportradar’s global iGaming operations, where he will be responsible for shaping and executing strategy across product development, technology alignment, and client-facing solutions. The move reflects Sportradar’s intention to treat iGaming as a core growth vertical alongside its established sports data, integrity, and betting services.

Haitin brings more than 20 years of experience across iGaming operations, live casino development, and executive management. His background combines senior operational leadership with a strong understanding of regulated market dynamics, an increasingly critical requirement as global iGaming markets mature and oversight intensifies.

Most recently, Haitin served as CEO of Playtech Live from August 2022 until April 2025, overseeing live casino operations during a period of continued international expansion and regulatory complexity. Prior to that, he held the role of managing director of live casino at Playtech, where he was responsible for scaling live dealer products and operational infrastructure across multiple regulated jurisdictions.

Earlier in his career, Haitin served as CEO of Euro Live Technologies Ltd., a Playtech subsidiary, leading product development and operational growth closely tied to the group’s live casino ecosystem. He also previously held executive leadership roles at Games OS and Viaden, further strengthening his experience in gaming technology, platform management, and commercial execution.

In his new role at Sportradar, Haitin is tasked with integrating the company’s proprietary technology, extensive data assets, and global distribution network into a cohesive iGaming framework. The objective is to support long-term scalability while delivering data-driven solutions tailored to the evolving needs of online casino operators.

Haitin holds a Master of Laws degree in European Union law from the University of Amsterdam, adding a legal and regulatory perspective that aligns with Sportradar’s compliance-focused operating model. His appointment comes at a time when suppliers are under increasing pressure to demonstrate governance, transparency, and regulatory readiness across markets.

Sportradar stated that the hire represents a new phase in its iGaming ambitions, aimed at accelerating innovation while supporting operator partners at scale. As iGaming Today World observes, leadership appointments of this calibre increasingly signal not just expansion plans, but a shift toward more institutional, enterprise-grade approaches to iGaming growth.

The coming months will indicate how effectively Sportradar converts this leadership investment into competitive differentiation within the global online casino sector.
