Primero Games Acquires Win Systems’ Gaming Division to Build a Global Gaming Footprint
Primero Games LLC has acquired the Gaming Division of Win Systems, including its Gold Club electronic-roulette business, in a deal that broadens both its product mix and its geographic reach. The acquisition adds established slot and electronic-roulette products, manufacturing capabilities and gaming operations across Latin America and the Caribbean, with an installed base of more than 3,000 gaming positions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Why the Primero Games and Win Systems Deal Matters Now
Primero already carries international creative reach, with studios in the U.S., the U.K. and Canada and a catalogue of more than 100 original titles. What the WSG deal adds is different in kind: physical gaming positions, manufacturing and electronic-roulette products on the ground in Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Panama and other markets. This is a content-and-platform company acquiring hardware and a floor presence, not simply more content.
What the Win Systems Gaming Division Acquisition Actually Involves
The transaction covers Win Systems’ Gaming Division, including the Gold Club electronic-roulette business, along with slot and electronic-roulette products, manufacturing capabilities and long-standing customer relationships. Primero has said it will support existing customers and products while introducing additional Primero game content, platform technology and development resources. Win Systems’ leadership is moving across with the team.

Why Primero Is Buying Hardware, Not Just Reach
Here is the part operators care about. Primero runs its Hurricane platform across offline and online, single and multi-game applications, extended by its Spark server-based solution with business intelligence, linked and wide-area progressives, content subscriptions and player-retention features. WSG brings the counterpart Primero lacked in the region: an installed base of physical positions, manufacturing operations and market knowledge.
“This combination makes both businesses stronger,” said Eric Benchimol, CEO of Win Systems. “Pairing our installed base, manufacturing operations and market knowledge with Primero’s game library and development engine means we can bring more, and better, products to our customers faster than either company could alone.”
Layering Hurricane and Spark features onto an existing electronic-roulette and slot base is the clearest route to value here, and keeping named leadership in place suggests the priority is protecting that base rather than reworking it.
What the Announcement Doesn’t Settle Yet
Financial terms were not disclosed, so the market cannot judge whether the price fits the strategic logic. The value case also rests on Primero’s platform integrating cleanly with WSG’s existing electronic-roulette and slot hardware across several markets, and platform-onto-hardware rollouts rarely move as fast as the announcement implies. Until Primero content and Hurricane and Spark features are actually live on those positions, the “more and better products, faster” claim remains a stated intention.
What Comes Next for Primero Games in the LatAm Gaming Market?
The near-term test is how quickly Primero content and platform features appear on the acquired 3,000-plus positions, and whether the retained Win Systems team delivers the continuity both sides are promising. If the integration holds, Primero converts a US, UK and Canada creative operation into one with real manufacturing and floor presence in Latin America and the Caribbean. The strategic case reads clearly. Execution across the installed base will decide whether it earns out.
