Light & Wonder Expands Premium Gaming Vision with COSMIC DUAL Cabinet Launch in Australia
Light & Wonder has rolled out its COSMIC DUAL gaming cabinet across venues in New South Wales and Queensland, marking the product’s official entry into the Australian market. The cabinet first went live at Ballina RSL Club in May and forms part of the company’s broader push to expand its premium land-based gaming footprint in the region.
The launch adds another product to Light & Wonder’s COSMIC hardware lineup, which has already been introduced across multiple regulated gaming markets globally.
COSMIC DUAL Strengthens Light & Wonder’s Premium Cabinet Strategy
Designed with a modular structure for international deployment, the COSMIC DUAL cabinet combines updated hardware presentation with player-focused functionality. The cabinet includes several design upgrades intended to improve gameplay visibility and overall user comfort inside gaming venues.
Key features of COSMIC DUAL include:
- Dual 27-inch HD displays
- Slim bezel presentation design
- Floating iDECK™ interface
- Enhanced player ergonomics
- Cabinet structure designed for multiple market configurations
According to Ben Frederiksen, the cabinet was developed to deliver a more premium entertainment experience through modern hardware design and stronger content presentation. He added that the company is pleased to introduce the product to Australian operators while pairing the cabinet with game content already familiar to players.
New JIN CHAN Titles Expand Content Offering for Australian Venues
The Australian rollout also includes the launch of the JIN CHAN™ game family, which debuts alongside the new cabinet platform. The series features four individual base games designed to support engagement across casino and club environments.
By combining new content releases with upgraded hardware, suppliers continue focusing on complete gaming experiences rather than standalone cabinet launches. The approach has become increasingly common across regulated gaming markets where operators are prioritizing floor upgrades and refreshed entertainment offerings.
Light & Wonder’s latest rollout reflects that wider trend as venues continue adopting newer cabinet formats capable of supporting modern presentation features and updated gameplay experiences.
Australian Operators Continue Investing in Premium Gaming Technology
Light & Wonder confirmed that further COSMIC DUAL installations are already underway at venues across Australia. The ongoing rollout highlights continued investment in premium gaming hardware within the country’s land-based casino and club sector.
The launch also strengthens the company’s position within the Australian market as competition around next-generation cabinet technology continues increasing among major gaming suppliers. Recently, Light & Wonder reported continued business growth across its gaming and iGaming operations as the company expands its global gaming portfolio.
Future Rollout Expected to Strengthen Australian Market Presence
With more installations planned, COSMIC DUAL is expected to play a larger role in Light & Wonder’s Australian land-based strategy over the coming months. The company continues expanding its premium hardware portfolio as operators across regulated venues look for updated gaming experiences and newer cabinet technology. The broader expansion strategy also includes long-term regulatory partnerships, including a recently secured 10-year agreement with the Illinois Gaming Board. The addition of new game content alongside the cabinet rollout is also expected to support longer-term engagement across participating venues while helping the company strengthen relationships with operators throughout the market.
