Top iGaming Leadership Appointments of the Week | iGaming News Today

Hiring is where strategy shows its hand. And this week, a run of iGaming executive appointments points to one thing operators and suppliers are quietly fighting over: commercial leadership that can scale a business inside regulated markets.

Five moves. Different companies, different regions, one pattern. From Romania to Gibraltar, the roles being filled are almost all commercial, operational, or growth focused. That tells you where the pressure sits right now.

Super Romania Rebuilds Its Commercial Leadership

The biggest shift came from Super, the group behind Superbet. Andrei Bereanda joins as Vice President Commercial for Romania on 1 October 2026, reporting to Andrei Popa. Bereanda arrives with more than two decades across media, digital services and technology, most recently as Managing Director of Ringier Romania, with earlier senior roles at PRO TV, OLX Group, Mediafax and Adevărul Holding.

That is not a gaming lifer. It is a digital business builder pulled in from adjacent industries. Super clearly wants commercial instincts shaped outside betting to sharpen how it grows a multi brand ecosystem that now spans Superbet, Napoleon Games, Superscore and Maxbet.

The move sits alongside a second appointment. Andrei Popa stepped up to General Manager for Romania on 1 August 2026, succeeding Adam Lamentowicz, who now leads growth across the wider CEE region including Poland, Serbia and Greece. Popa has spent 10 of his 16 industry years at Super, building its first Business Intelligence division before moving through VP Online and VP Commercial roles.

MUSL Board Appointment Strengthens US Lottery Governance

Across the Atlantic, the story is about governance rather than commercial firepower. Louisiana Lottery President and CEO Rose Hudson was appointed Secretary of the Multi-State Lottery Association Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2027.

MUSL runs multi jurisdictional games including Powerball and Lotto America for member lotteries nationwide. Hudson joins Board President Brian Rockey of the Nebraska Lottery and Vice President Adam Prock of the Minnesota Lottery. In a US market where lottery modernisation and digital play keep climbing the agenda, who sits on that board matters more than the ceremonial framing suggests.

Supplier Promotions Point to a B2C and Sales Push at Galaxsys

Content supplier Galaxsys made two internal moves. Mikael P. was promoted to Head of B2C Development Department, tasked with strengthening products and user focused solutions. Mohammad R. became Head of Sales Department, charged with expanding commercial reach and building long term partner relationships across key regions.

Promoting from within during a growth phase is a signal in itself. It says Galaxsys is betting on people who already know its partners and markets rather than importing outside names. For a supplier competing on both product and distribution, splitting focus between B2C development and sales leadership is a sensible way to defend two fronts at once.

Playbook Fusion and ThrillTech Hire for Global Commercial Expansion

Two more appointments round out the week, and both are about reach.

Playbook Fusion welcomed Ashley Bloor as VP Commercial. Bloor joins from Aristocrat Interactive with deep experience across regulated markets and a brief to grow commercial partnerships and take Playbook Football to more operators worldwide. CEO Steve Rogers framed her hire as essential to scaling the business into its next phase.

ThrillTech, the side bet jackpot specialist, appointed Amy Santos as Chief Operating Officer, based in Gibraltar. Santos joins from Pragmatic Solutions, where she was Director of Client Relations and Programme, with earlier tenures at William Hill, The Rank Group and Ladbrokes Coral. Co-Founder Benjamin Bradtke tied her arrival directly to the worldwide rollout of ThrillPots side bet jackpots. Her mandate is operational, which fits a company scaling deployments faster than its back office was built for.

What These iGaming Executive Appointments Mean for Operators

Read together, these hires tell operators and suppliers something practical. The talent being chased right now is commercial and operational leadership with a regulated market track record. Companies are either buying that experience from adjacent digital sectors, as Super did, or promoting the people who already hold the partner relationships, as Galaxsys did. Both are defensible. Both cost.

Future Outlook

Expect the commercial hiring wave to continue through the rest of 2026 as regulated markets in CEE, the US and emerging regions keep opening. Suppliers like Galaxsys, Playbook Fusion and ThrillTech will keep loading up on sales and operational leadership to support faster global rollouts, while operators such as Super will look outside gaming for digital growth talent. The names change. The pattern holds. Watch who these leaders hire next, because that is usually the clearest tell of where each business plans to push.
