iGaming Appointments Roundup: Altenar, Digitain, Booming Games, Aloplay and NCPG Name New Leaders
Senior appointments landed across the iGaming supply side in one week, spanning finance, sales, business development and organisational leadership. Together they give a clear read on where the industry is steering its hiring as regulated markets mature.
The moves cover a sportsbook technology provider, a platform and content supplier, a games studio, a B2B technology firm and a problem-gambling organisation. Each is set out below using only what each organisation has shared.
Altenar strengthens its finance leadership with a new CFO
Altenar has appointed Steven Craven as Chief Financial Officer, reinforcing its leadership team as the sportsbook technology provider develops its operations across regulated markets.
Craven began his career at PwC, spending a decade in accounting and financial management across various industries and international markets. He then joined Strix Plc, supporting its AIM IPO and helping build its financial reporting, investor relations and corporate governance functions.
He later moved into iGaming with PokerStars/Flutter, working primarily on the FTSE merger, before joining a technology start-up. In his new role, he will oversee Altenar’s financial operations and strategy, supporting the company’s development across international markets and aligning financial planning with its long-term objectives.
Steven Craven, Chief Financial Officer, Altenar, said:
“I’m excited to build upon the solid foundations already in place at Altenar as we enter the next phase of business growth. I look forward to working with our customers, suppliers, and staff to shape the financial strategy of the business, to continue to successfully navigate the complex regulatory environment in which we work, and to support the ambitions of our founders.”
Stanislav Silin, CEO and Co-Founder of Altenar, commented:
“Steven’s appointment is an important step in strengthening our leadership team as Altenar continues to develop its business internationally. His financial expertise will support our long-term objectives and help ensure that our financial strategy remains aligned with the company’s wider ambitions.”
Digitain adds a Head of Sales for the Italian market
Digitain has welcomed Domenico Mazzola as Head of Sales, Italy. He brings more than a decade of experience across iGaming, technology and commercial development, combining technical insight with commercial expertise.
In the role, he will lead Digitain’s sales efforts in Italy, strengthen relationships with operators and partners, and support the company’s growth in one of Europe’s key regulated markets.
Booming Games appoints a Chief of Sales to deepen partnerships
Booming Games has named Ally McIvor as its new Chief of Sales. The studio framed the hire around people and partnerships, pointing to its aim of strengthening relationships with partners and exploring new opportunities around the world as the team grows.
No further biographical detail was shared in the announcement.
Aloplay names a CBDO in its B2B growth push
Aloplay has appointed Styliana Kalogreadou as Chief Business Development Officer, describing the move as an important milestone in its growth.
Kalogreadou brings more than 11 years of experience in iGaming, along with an international network and a track record in building strategic partnerships and driving commercial growth. The company said the appointment reflects its ambition to establish Aloplay as a leading global B2B iGaming technology and managed services provider.
NCPG names an Interim Executive Director as it plans its search
Alongside the commercial suppliers, the National Council on Problem Gambling has appointed Charles H. Jeffers II as Interim Executive Director, effective immediately.
Jeffers is founder and principal consultant of The Jeffers Group and brings more than 30 years of nonprofit executive leadership. He has served as Interim Executive Director of the American Occupational Therapy Association and as Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Tourism Authority. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree from American International College.
Derek Longmeier, Board President of NCPG, said:
“Charles’ depth of experience in understanding culture dynamics, operational demands, and board governance is key to our selecting him to lead as Interim Executive Director of NCPG.”
The organisation said its search for a permanent Executive Director will begin in January 2027, led by Vetted Solutions. For anyone affected by gambling-related harm, NCPG operates the National Problem Gambling Helpline on 1-800-MY-RESET.
What this week of iGaming appointments signals for operators
Line the hires up and a pattern emerges. Most of them sit in sales, finance or governance rather than product, and that weighting is the real story.
When suppliers prioritise commercial leadership for specific regulated markets, a finance chief with public-company and merger experience, and senior governance, they are building for scale, oversight and market-by-market depth rather than chasing the next feature.
For operators choosing partners, hires like these are an early signal of which vendors are preparing to grow with them into tighter, more regulated conditions, and which are investing in the financial and commercial discipline that longer partnerships depend on.
