Florida is fighting to preserve its tribal-led sports betting framework.
The Attorney General’s office has filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit by Protect the Constitution LLC, which argues the 2021 gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe is unconstitutional without a public vote.
Florida counters that the compact falls outside the 2018 constitutional amendment, as tribal agreements are exempt and sports betting isn’t classified as “casino gambling.”
