The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has fined Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC), a subsidiary of Super Group, $112,188.96 after identifying multiple breaches of responsible gaming requirements. The DGE’s findings, detailed in a letter dated 14 October, revealed that between March 2024 and January 2025, DGC failed to promptly add self-excluded players to the state’s Self-Exclusion List. This lapse allowed some individuals who had voluntarily excluded themselves from gambling to continue wagering across various online platforms.

In addition to these failures, DGC also permitted several players to exceed their self-imposed deposit limits during June and July 2025. The regulator determined these shortcomings represented systemic weaknesses in DGC’s internal compliance and monitoring systems, violating the Casino Control Act and related administrative codes.

Alongside the primary fine, DGC was ordered to disgorge $5,278.73 in winnings from self-excluded patrons affected by the oversight. The DGE confirmed that no further action would be taken at this stage but warned that any subsequent violations, regardless of scale, would result in disciplinary proceedings.

Super Group, best known for its Betway and Spin brands, has been undergoing operational restructuring and had previously announced plans to exit the U.S. market. The enforcement action underscores the growing scrutiny faced by operators in regulated jurisdictions and reinforces the importance of robust responsible gaming controls.

This latest penalty serves as a reminder to all iGaming companies operating in the U.S. that compliance with player protection measures remains a core regulatory expectation.
