AGLC Approves LSports to Operate in Alberta’s Regulated iGaming Market, Its Second Canadian Province

AGLC Approves LSports to Operate in Alberta iGaming Market | iGaming News Today

LSports has been approved by Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) to operate in Alberta’s regulated iGaming market. The company confirmed the approval on 4 October 2026, and it lets sportsbook operators in the province use the full LSports offering inside Alberta’s regulatory framework.

That offering runs across the ARENA360 platform and its four products, alongside a managed trading option. For operators building books in a market only a few months old, LSports now gives them one partner for data, trading, risk and engagement.

What AGLC approval unlocks across the ARENA360 platform

The approval covers ARENA360 and its four products. TRADE handles real-time data and pricing, DEFEND covers risk management, BOOST provides market benchmarking, and ENGAGE supports player engagement. Operators that want to hand off trading altogether can use LTS, or LSports Trading Services, the company’s managed trading service.

With the approval in place, Alberta operators can use the full LSports offering across their sportsbooks inside the provincial framework.

Why Alberta’s new iGaming market shapes the timing

Alberta opened its regulated iGaming market in July 2026 under the iGaming Alberta Act, becoming the second Canadian province to do so after Ontario.

As LSports notes, operators building a book in a new regulated market need suppliers that are already approved locally. This approval means Alberta operators can plug into ARENA360 now, inside Alberta’s framework, from a supplier already cleared to work with them.

What the AGLC approval means for Alberta sportsbook operators

The approval gives Alberta operators a single supplier for data, trading, risk and engagement that they can use from day one and scale from there.

As Yoav Ziv, Chief Revenue Officer at LSports, put it:

“Alberta operators are building their books in a market that is only a few months old. They need accurate data and a supplier that is already cleared to work with them. This approval means they can plug into ARENA360 now, inside Alberta’s framework, and scale from there. Canada is a priority market for us, and Alberta is the next step.”

LSports extends its Canadian footprint from Ontario to Alberta

Alberta follows the Gaming-Related Supplier licence LSports received from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) in June 2025, which opened the company’s first Canadian market. One year on from entering Canada through Ontario, the approval extends LSports’ regulated footprint in North America and supports its more than 300 clients worldwide.

What does the Alberta approval signal for LSports in Canada?

The approval marks LSports’ second Canadian province after Ontario, extending its regulated footprint in North America. LSports has named Canada a priority market and Alberta its next step, with the offering now available to Alberta operators and supporting the company’s more than 300 clients worldwide.
