Six iGaming Industry Leadership Appointments Signal a Week Built Around Growth
Six senior appointments across lottery, sportsbook technology, gaming hardware and responsible gambling landed in the same week, and together they say more about where the industry is heading than any single hire could.
Between 29 June and 3 July 2026, Nederlandse Loterij, Soft2Bet, FIRST.bet, TransAct Technologies, Mindway AI and IGT all named senior executives. The common thread is unmistakable. Companies are buying financial governance, regulated-market experience and commercial firepower ahead of a harder, more competitive phase.
Nederlandse Loterij Appointment Completes the Executive Board
The most significant lottery move came from Nederlandse Loterij, which named Ageeth Bakker as Chief Financial and Risk Officer, effective 1 November 2026. Bakker arrives from Bovemij Group, where she served as CFRO and Executive Board member since 2019, following earlier senior roles at Centramed and 13 years at Achmea Group.
Her arrival completes the day-to-day management team alongside CEO Arjan Blok, CTIO Maartje Geven and CCO Arno de Jong. Raymond Knops, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said her expertise in finance, risk and regulated sectors was an excellent fit for the role.
The context matters. Nederlandse Loterij operates ten brands and contributed €200.6 million to Dutch sport, charities and society in 2025. Combining a CFO and Chief Risk mandate in one seat tells you how seriously the operator now treats financial stewardship as a compliance function, not just an accounting one.
Sportsbook Technology Leadership Deepens at FIRST.bet and Soft2Bet
FIRST.bet delivered the week’s highest-profile hire, appointing former DraftKings SVP Ian Bradley as Co-CEO alongside founder Tom Light. The two previously worked together at SBTech, the sportsbook business absorbed into DraftKings through its 2020 merger, where Bradley later held responsibility for all consumer sportsbook revenue. The co-CEO structure is a clear statement of intent as FIRST.bet pushes into LATAM, Europe and beyond.
Soft2Bet, meanwhile, appointed Ryan Collinge as Executive Vice President of Group Business Development and Strategic Partnerships. Collinge brings more than two decades across retail and online gaming, with particular depth in casino content. Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Cochrane said Collinge brings the commercial judgement and industry relationships needed to support the company’s growth with operators and global entertainment brands.
Gaming Hardware and Responsible Gambling Leadership Strengthens
TransAct Technologies named Troy Ingianni as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 July 2026. Ingianni joins with more than 25 years of financial leadership, most recently as Vice President, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Barnes Group. His remit connects directly to TransAct’s push to scale its BOHA! SaaS platform and build higher-margin recurring revenue.
On the player-protection side, Mindway AI appointed Christina Savvouri as Enterprise Partnership Lead, based in London. A multilingual growth strategist with a background in iGaming compliance and cybersecurity, Savvouri will drive the rollout of the company’s neuroscience and AI-driven player protection tools into new jurisdictions. IGT strengthened its commercial team with Tommy O’Brien as General Manager of Sales, bringing more than 30 years of gaming experience to advance the company’s global growth strategy.

Future Outlook for Gaming Industry Leadership Hiring
Watch three signals over the next 6 to 12 months. First, expect more combined finance-and-risk mandates as regulators tighten expectations across newly regulated markets. Second, B2B sportsbook and turnkey providers will keep competing hard for proven operators, with LATAM the clearest battleground. Third, responsible gambling talent will move from a compliance cost to a commercial differentiator as player-protection technology becomes a buying criterion for operators.
The pattern is set. In a tightening market, the companies that hire the right leadership early are the ones positioning to execute when competition intensifies.
