DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is refining its Brazil strategy with a temporary pause, setting the stage for a full-scale 2026 relaunch of GamePlus.
DigiPlus Interactive Corp., one of the Philippines’ leading digital entertainment operators, has announced a temporary pause in the rollout of its first Brazilian brand, GamePlus, following a soft launch on 22 September 2025. The pause, effective 10 October, was described as a “strategic step” to optimize the company’s offering for the Brazilian market.
Chairman Eusebio Tanco said the move reflects DigiPlus’ focus on cultural relevance and product quality over speed. The company used its three-week soft launch as a testing ground to collect data on Brazilian player behavior, cultural trends, and gaming preferences, which will guide its next development phase.
The brand’s local operations, managed by DigiPlus Brazil Interactive LTDA, will continue to expand its team while ensuring full compliance with Brazil’s new online gaming regulations that emphasize anti-money laundering, IT security, and responsible gaming.
The full rollout, planned for early 2026, will mark the next phase in DigiPlus’ global expansion strategy. The company aims to deliver a self-developed, best-in-class entertainment platform built for Brazilian players, with content inspired by local culture and storytelling.
In addition to its Brazil project, DigiPlus has also submitted applications for an online gaming license in South Africa, covering manufacturing, bookmaking, and bookmaker premises operations. If approved, the license will further expand its footprint across regulated international markets.
The decision to pause and recalibrate underscores DigiPlus’ commitment to sustainable growth, innovation, and cultural connection, setting the tone for its next chapter in global digital entertainment.
