Octoplay Extends UK Operator Coverage as It Goes Live With MrQ

Octoplay Extends UK Coverage as It Goes Live on MrQ | iGaming News Today

Octoplay has gone live with MrQ, bringing its games to a brand the studio describes as one of the UK’s fastest-growing online casinos.

The launch adds to Octoplay’s coverage in the market where it already supplies more operators than anywhere else it runs.

With this go-live, MrQ becomes Octoplay’s thirteenth operator group in the UK.

It also lands three years after Octoplay’s first game went live in the market, a timeframe the studio treats as a measure of how far its UK footprint has grown.

Octoplay goes live with MrQ in the UK

The deal puts Octoplay’s games into the MrQ lobby, and MrQ was selective about what it took on.

Daniel Pascoe, Senior Casino Manager at MrQ, said the brand is particular about what earns a place in its lineup.

“We’re picky about what goes in our lobby. Every game has to earn its place with our players, not just fill a slot. Octoplay have done exactly that,” Pascoe said. “Their games are sharp, built with UK players in mind, and since going live they’ve become a genuine part of the MrQ mix.”

Why the UK sets the standard for Octoplay’s games

Octoplay was licensed in the UK in March 2023 and went live that December with Paddy Power and Betfair.

The studio frames the UK as the standard against which it builds everything else.

That framing comes directly from the top.

“We launched our first game in the UK, so this market sets the standard for everything we build,” said Ralitsa Georgieva, CEO at Octoplay. “Operators here re-order their lobbies on performance, and being asked back by new brands is the endorsement that matters.”

What Octoplay’s thirteenth UK operator group signals

Here is the part operators care about.

In a market where lobbies are re-ordered on performance, a growing brand choosing to onboard a supplier is a read on how that supplier’s existing games are holding up.

The operator read is straightforward: fresh demand from a brand like MrQ tends to follow numbers. That makes a single go-live a small thing that points to something larger about Octoplay’s UK standing.

Octoplay’s regulated footprint across its markets

Beyond the UK, Octoplay says it is approved to operate in 20 regulated jurisdictions, including Malta, Romania, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Brazil, New Jersey, Michigan, Ontario and Pennsylvania.

The company has moved into North America, the Nordics, southern Europe and Latin America, going live in most of those markets with tier-one operators from day one.

What the MrQ launch means for UK iGaming operators

For operators weighing a content partner, a supplier that keeps being invited back in its most competitive market is a credential that is hard to manufacture.

Octoplay’s UK coverage now spans thirteen operator groups three years on from its first launch, and MrQ’s addition continues that trajectory.

The quieter story underneath a routine go-live is a studio building its strongest position in the market it calls its benchmark.
