OKTO PAYMENTS Launches Agentic Pix And OKTO Empresas For Pix Payments And API Accounts In Brazil

OKTO Launches Agentic Pix And OKTO Empresas In Brazil | iGaming News Today

OKTO PAYMENTS has launched two new Pix products for the Brazilian market, aimed at the steps that still sit between a customer deciding to buy and the money actually moving. Announced on 19 October 2026 from São Paulo, the first product, Agentic Pix, completes a Pix transaction inside the conversation a customer is already having with an AI assistant.

The second, OKTO Empresas, lets gateways, BaaS platforms and businesses open an account and create a Pix key entirely through an API. The launch extends OKTO’s existing Pix suite into e-commerce, SaaS and subscriptions, marketplaces and platforms, and the gig and services economy. The common thread is friction removal: not a new way to pay, but fewer steps around the payment itself.

How Pix already powers payments across Brazil

Pix is already how Brazil pays. The Central Bank recorded 79.8 billion Pix transactions in 2025, and OKTO says its own infrastructure processed more than 600 million of them over the last twelve months, at an average of 50 million a month.

What has not kept pace, according to the company, is the journey around the payment. A customer buying through an AI assistant still has to leave it, open a bank app, scan a code and come back. A subscriber still has to approve the same charge every month. A business that wants to collect via Pix still has to wait for a bank to open its account.

What Agentic Pix does inside the AI conversation

Agentic Pix closes the first of those gaps. The AI agent sits inside the conversation, whether that is an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, or the brand’s own website or app chat. It understands what the customer wants, assembles the order and creates the Pix charge on OKTO’s infrastructure.

The customer then confirms with biometrics in their bank app, and the receipt returns to the same conversation within seconds. Nothing is typed, scanned or copied, and the customer never leaves the channel. The product runs on OKTO’s Biometric Pix rail, which has been live since October 2025.

How OKTO Empresas opens business accounts and Pix keys via API

OKTO Empresas addresses the business side. A gateway, a BaaS platform or a company of any size can open an OKTO account and create a Pix key through OKTO’s API, fully automated, with corporate data retrieved and verification completed automatically. The result, the company says, is a new client going live without a manual step.

How Pix by Key and Automatic Pix round out the suite

Two further additions extend the range. Pix by Key lets a customer save a merchant’s Pix key as a favourite in their bank app and transfer at any time, with no QR Code and no need to open the merchant’s site. OKTO identifies the payer by CPF, credits the right account and returns any unmatched funds automatically.

Automatic Pix, built on the Central Bank’s recurring-payment framework, lets a customer pay a first charge and authorise future ones in a single QR Code. Charges follow the agreed frequency and funds settle instantly, which OKTO positions as a lower-delinquency alternative to boleto and card-on-file.

What OKTO says the launch means for Brazilian merchants

Leonardo Chaves, General Manager Brazil at OKTO PAYMENTS, framed the launch around where buying is heading. He said that AI is changing the way people shop and payments need to keep up, and that very soon a big share of purchases will start and finish inside a conversation with an AI assistant. With Agentic Pix, he said, Brazilian merchants can be ready for that today: the customer asks, the AI builds the order, and Pix closes the sale without anyone leaving the chat.

He added that OKTO also wants to make day-to-day life simpler for the companies driving Brazil’s digital economy. With OKTO Empresas, he said, opening an account and creating a Pix key is fully automated via API, so gateways, BaaS platforms and their clients can spend their time growing their business instead of on paperwork. The future of payments, in his words, is instant, invisible and built into the moments where people already are, and OKTO is building it now.

What Agentic Pix could mean for iGaming and payment-heavy sectors

For payment-heavy sectors, including iGaming, both the in-chat close and the API-only account opening speak directly to conversion and time-to-live. The products are available to merchants in Brazil now.

The question OKTO is backing is a simple one: when the checkout moves into the chat, does the operator that already sits there win the sale?
