EveryMatrix Secures Alberta Approval Ahead of Canada’s Next Regulated iGaming Market
EveryMatrix has secured conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), positioning the supplier for entry into Alberta’s upcoming regulated iGaming market ahead of its expected launch later this year.
The approval marks another important expansion step for EveryMatrix as the company continues strengthening its footprint across regulated North American markets. Alberta is expected to become Canada’s second regulated online gaming jurisdiction after Ontario, creating a new growth opportunity for operators, platform providers, and gaming suppliers looking to establish an early presence in the province.
Under the approval, EveryMatrix will be permitted to provide sportsbook technology, casino platform infrastructure, and gaming aggregation services to licensed operators entering Alberta’s new regulatory framework. The company also confirmed that content from its in-house studio, Fantasma Games, will be part of its launch offering alongside additional aggregated content products.
Alberta Draws Strong Industry Attention
Alberta’s regulated gaming rollout is already attracting considerable attention from the wider iGaming sector due to the province’s strong economic profile and high levels of digital engagement.
With a population of approximately five million residents and one of the highest GDP-per-capita levels in North America, Alberta is widely viewed as one of the most commercially attractive upcoming gaming jurisdictions in the region. Industry stakeholders have increasingly identified the province as a potentially significant long-term market for sportsbook and online casino growth.
For suppliers such as EveryMatrix, securing regulatory approval before market launch provides a major strategic advantage. Early entry allows companies to build operator relationships, establish local compliance frameworks, and prepare technology infrastructure ahead of intensified competition once the market officially opens.
The company has already confirmed that commercial agreements are in place within Alberta covering both platform technology and gaming content distribution. While operator names have not yet been disclosed, the announcement suggests EveryMatrix is positioning itself aggressively for launch-phase market activity.
North American Expansion Continues
The Alberta approval further strengthens EveryMatrix’s growing regulatory footprint across North America. The supplier already operates across multiple regulated jurisdictions, including New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, West Virginia, and Ontario.
Over the past several years, the company has increasingly positioned itself as a full-service B2B technology supplier capable of supporting operators across sportsbook, casino, aggregation, and engagement infrastructure.
That broader strategy has also become visible in other regulated markets. Earlier this year, EveryMatrix expanded its partnership with ATG Casino in Sweden through the rollout of Fantasma Games titles and additional engagement-focused infrastructure tools aimed at strengthening monetisation and retention strategies.
Rather than competing solely on content scale, the supplier has increasingly focused on combining proprietary technology with third-party distribution to deepen operator integration and improve long-term platform value.
Compliance and Product Stability Become Key Competitive Factors
As more North American jurisdictions move toward regulated online gaming frameworks, suppliers are facing growing pressure to demonstrate strong compliance capabilities alongside scalable platform performance.
Rani Axon, Market Manager North America at EveryMatrix, said the Alberta approval reflects the company’s readiness to meet regulatory standards across emerging markets.
She stated: “Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America’s most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market.”
At the same time, EveryMatrix has continued investing in sportsbook engagement tools ahead of what is expected to be a major year for football betting globally. The supplier recently introduced “Pass The Stats,” a feature designed to reduce friction in player-based football betting markets during live matches.
The Alberta launch is expected to become one of the most closely watched gaming developments in Canada during 2026 as operators and suppliers compete for early positioning in the country’s expanding regulated online gaming ecosystem.
