BETER Secures Ontario Registration to Expand Sports and Esports Content Across Canada

BETER Enters Canada: AGCO Registration Opens Ontario Market | iGaming News Today

BETER has secured Gaming-Related Supplier Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), marking its entry into the Canadian market. The registration clears the company to supply its exclusive content to Ontario-licensed sportsbooks, giving operators in the province access to its live streams, real-time data and odds. On its own the approval is a routine regulatory step, but it lands as the opening move in BETER’s Canadian build-out.

Why BETER’s Ontario Registration Matters Now

Ontario is Canada’s most developed regulated online gaming market, which makes it the logical first entry point for any content provider expanding north. For BETER, the registration is described as an important milestone in its broader North American strategy rather than a one-off approval. The company already holds ten regulatory approvals across the United States, so Canada represents the next leg of the same expansion rather than a fresh direction.

What BETER’s AGCO Registration Actually Involves

The registration allows BETER to provide Ontario-licensed operators with live streams, real-time data and odds for its exclusive portfolio of fast-paced esports and sports content. That portfolio includes its ESportsBattle eLeagues, the Setka Cup table tennis series and the BSKT Cup basketball league. The esports side covers eFootball, eBasketball, eHockey and eTennis. Across its wider offering, BETER delivers 24/7 live streaming, real-time data and odds for more than 740,000 fast-paced events annually, with up to 50 markets per event and, per the company, an average operator margin of more than 8%.

Gal Ehrlich, CEO of BETER, said: “Ontario is an important step in building BETER’s North American business and a significant part of our global growth strategy. Our exclusive content gives operators something they cannot easily find elsewhere, and that differentiation is helping us expand into new regulated markets.”

Why BETER’s Exclusive Esports Content Wins Ontario Sportsbooks

Here’s the part operators care about: BETER’s expansion argument rests on exclusivity. The 24/7 esports and table tennis inventory is content sportsbooks cannot easily source from elsewhere, which is what the company points to as the driver behind its run of registrations. Each new market approval simply widens distribution for that same inventory. The content is also underpinned by a dedicated Integrity team providing 24/7 monitoring, which works with organisations including IBIA and ESIC as well as sports federations, an important point for regulators assessing fast-paced, high-frequency events.

What BETER’s Ontario Registration Doesn’t Yet Prove

Two things are worth keeping in perspective. The average operator margin figure of more than 8%, and the claim that it exceeds the market standard, is a company statement and has not been independently verified here, so operators should treat it as a supplier claim rather than an audited benchmark. Second, a supplier registration authorises BETER to offer content in Ontario; it does not confirm operator uptake. The commercial value follows only once sportsbooks integrate and activate the feeds.

What Comes Next for BETER in the Regulated Gaming Market?

Valeriia Tarchynska, Chief Legal Officer at BETER, said: “Securing our Ontario registration is a significant milestone and reflects BETER’s commitment to meeting the highest regulatory and compliance standards in every market we enter. As we continue expanding across Canada, our focus will remain on sustainable growth, strong regulatory relationships, and maintaining the trust of our partners and stakeholders.”

The nearer-term signal is Alberta, which BETER expects to become the second Canadian province to approve its content. Taken together, Ontario reads less as a standalone win and more as the base for a country-level presence. The real test now is conversion: how quickly Ontario operators integrate the content, and whether Alberta approval follows on the timeline BETER anticipates.
