The Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen, has issued a formal regulatory notice to SkillOnNet after identifying missing responsible gaming icons on the logged-out version of Prime Casino’s website. The regulator found that several mandatory responsible gambling tools were not visible to users who were not logged into the platform. These included options for self-assessment, setting deposit limits, configuring login time restrictions and initiating self-exclusion features that are considered essential under Swedish gambling laws. Regulations require that such information must be clearly presented to all visitors to ensure transparency and protect players before they engage with gambling content.
SkillOnNet responded to the authority by confirming that the responsible gaming icons had always been available to logged-in users. The company described the issue as a technical oversight and stated that it had already identified the missing icons prior to the regulator’s supervision. Following the notice, SkillOnNet acted promptly to restore all required tools to the logged-out interface. Spelinspektionen acknowledged the swift resolution and noted that the operator generally met its regulatory obligations.
Despite this, the authority emphasised that the absence of responsible gaming tools in the logged-out view constituted a failure to fully comply with mandatory display requirements. The regulator described the issue as “neglect” but also clarified that further measures were not necessary due to the company’s corrective action and otherwise satisfactory compliance record.
This warning comes during a period of heightened regulatory scrutiny in Sweden. Spelinspektionen has recently taken action against both licensed operators and unlicensed entities attempting to target Swedish players. Earlier decisions included bans on EOD Code SRL, Igloo Ventures SRL and MIBS NV, as well as Bitx Operations and Ryker, all of which lacked the necessary licences to operate in the Swedish market.
The notice to SkillOnNet reinforces the regulator’s continued focus on ensuring transparency, responsible gambling visibility and strict adherence to national rules.
